Frequently Asked Questions
For Facilities
-
I bring everything needed for a full day of restorative wellness — the stretch table, equipment, and setup. Each participant gets a 25-minute one-on-one assisted stretch designed around their comfort and mobility needs.
-
A half-day covers up to 8 sessions, while a full day allows up to 16 sessions. Each session runs 25 minutes so everyone has time to stretch safely and leave feeling refreshed.
-
Yes. Assisted stretch therapy is highly adaptable and doesn’t require any prior flexibility or fitness level. I adjust every session to the individual, and with a doctor’s clearance if needed, even people with specific conditions can benefit.
-
All I need is a quiet room or corner large enough for a stretch table and walking clearance. A private or semi-private room works best for resident comfort. I handle setup and breakdown.
-
The facility pays a flat half- or full-day rate by invoice. 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
-
Scheduling depends on my current calendar, but I recommend reaching out as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Recurring bookings can also be arranged in advance for priority scheduling.
-
The day rate is fixed regardless of the number of participants. This ensures simple billing, reserved time, and flexibility if residents sign up last minute.
-
Assisted stretch therapy is safe for most people. Residents with major health concerns should consult their physician, and I ask all participants to disclose relevant conditions on the liability waiver. Sessions are always tailored to individual comfort and mobility levels.
-
Bookings canceled 7+ days in advance incur no fee. Cancellations 3–6 days prior are subject to 50% of the fee, and cancellations within 48 hours are billed in full.
-
No. I handle the entire setup, scheduling, and breakdown. Your staff only needs to share the sign-up sheet or flyer with residents ahead of time.
-
Absolutely! I will share information on how to book private assisted stretch therapy sessions with those who express interest.
-
If you’re interested but not sure how residents will respond, we can arrange a shorter introductory block of sessions so your community can try it first.
For Participants
-
Assisted stretch therapy is one-on-one flexibility work where I gently guide your body through safe stretches. It helps reduce stiffness, improve mobility, and leave you feeling more relaxed.
-
Each session lasts about 25 minutes. We’ll start with a quick check-in about your comfort and mobility, then I’ll guide you through stretches tailored to your needs. Most people feel lighter and more flexible afterward.
-
Not at all. Assisted stretch therapy is for everyone — from active adults to those who feel very stiff. Each session is adjusted to your body.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement, like sweatpants, leggings, or athletic shorts and a t-shirt.
-
Yes. Sessions are gentle and adapted to each person’s ability. If you have medical concerns, it’s always best to check with your doctor first. You’ll also fill out a short waiver form before your first session.
-
Assisted stretch therapy should never be painful. You may feel mild soreness afterward, similar to what you’d feel after light exercise, but most people just feel looser and more relaxed.
-
No. Everything — including the stretch table and supplies — is provided. Just bring yourself and wear comfortable clothes.
-
Your facility will provide a sign-up sheet with time slots. Just add your name, and I’ll be ready for you at your scheduled time.
-
Absolutely. Many people choose to participate each time Move Well Days come to their facility. The more consistently you stretch, the more lasting the benefits.
-
Massage focuses on releasing tension in the muscles, while assisted stretch therapy helps lengthen and mobilize the muscles and joints. Some people enjoy both as part of their self-care routine.
-
Many people feel relief from stiffness and discomfort, especially in the back, hips, and shoulders. While it’s not a medical treatment, gentle stretching often reduces tension that contributes to everyday aches.
-
Most people notice improved mobility and less stiffness right away. Consistency is where the lasting benefits really show.
